The Utd V City game yesterday was good, until the City fans decided to act like idiots and ruin basically the whole experience for everyone with shameless behaviour.

Agreed, but each club have their own mental fans.

Yep but atleast yesterday it would appear there was no trouble from the Utd fans though.

Hopefully not mate, the crap about Wimbledon shifting still rumbles on all these years later.

Its not as if there's a Coventry United or a bunch of Egg Chasers waiting in the wings to take over the place either so its got to be in the interests of the stadium owners to continue to rent to you, you just need a better deal than the one you were originally suckered into.

I see both sides of the story tbh and think they just need to get round the table and agree a new rent for the good of the City.

Christ knows who agreed it, but the rent is £1.2m a year, and no revenue from match day goods (food/drink).  Most Championship clubs pay £250k a year and League 1 clubs play under £200k.   So, the council and trust quite rightly want their money and back rent (now upto £1.1m) but then understandably, the club simply can't afford to pay it.

I think they are looking around at the old Rushden ground, which is lying empty, an the Hinckley ground, but I think that may be scare-mongering as I don't think the FA could allow them to move anyway - the rules were tightened up after Wimbledon moved.

But, for the good of the City, and football, I hope they can sit down and thrash something out, cause on the pitch at the moment its all going swimmingly.

Sky the Rushden ground is still in use by Kettering Town Football Club but they are about to die as well (that ground is cursed though as it has killed 2 football clubs now)

Saying that I used to go to that ground quite often when it was Rushden & Diamonds playing there and it is a good setup just a pita to get to as there arent any local regular transport links to it by public transport.

Kettering played there last season, but moved to Corby as they couldn't afford the utilities bill.  So as far as was reported in Coventry, its lying empty now.

An expected result yesterday at WHL.  Stu - I see Wood is scoring for you.  Always a player I have rated from afar and never seemed to get a chance.  Good signing.

It was mate, he seems to be fitting in nicely with the other strikers too and he still young and makes mistakes so over the next couple of years he should get even better. Has to be said though that yesterday Burton showed everyone how to deal with him, he finds it difficult to get away from two defenders and a midfielder descending on him every time a ball come his way, although that does free up space for the rest of the team to exploit.

What's happening with your renegotiations?

Nothing yet.  Although the deadline has passed.  So it's anyone's guess.

Although only 3 of the games were for us :(

Still can't hold that against him, he joined us as soon as he could :D

Thank you  :notworthy:

The only thing that could have made it better would have been the trees losing
