'cos Rammy is hard ?

I avoid Dentists.  Can't remember when I last saw one.  One day my teeth will no doubt fall out, but until then I'll steer clear.  I think all they do is contribute to the damage, not solve it.  Most of my teeth are scored around the gum line from where one idiot thought aggressive cleaning would be a good idea :(

Dentist said all three roots were 'dead' and I wouldn't need anesthetic. One of them was very much alive. The drilling out of the tooth was merely very painful whereas the roughened needle down the root canal containing the live nerve was the most painful thing that I have ever experienced.
I was fine with dentists till then, gone right off them since :D

Turns out the pain is being caused by an infection in the socket of the tooth that was extracted and the infection has moved to the tooth next to it which is the one that hurts like I have, been hit with a hammer in the mouth.

On medicated pad or whatever they call it shoved in to the gum, and a prescription for antibiotics and strong painkillers and feeling better.

Hopefully I will be able to get some sleep tonight.

When you decide to clean your pc area and switch some components between machines, and it turns in to a 2 day operation.

Started at 10am yesterday and stopped at 9pm, started again this morning at 7am and just starting to get both machines up and running.

One major issue was getting a Raid 0 array setup on the AMD based system, but it's working now and now I have a single 11TB drive which I need to test the performance of later to see if it's going to be fast, enough to cope with recording gameplay to or not.

Now I just need to find a place for everything else  :'(

So.......2019 so far.......fought off a nasty bug, possibly flu. Then my gout came on worse than ever, bloody agony. Just getting that under control today when, as I'm eating a bacon & egg sarnie, one of my upper left molars decides it's going to split apart . No time to go to a dentist next week so I'll have to leave it till the week after :(

So you spend the "glorious" bank holiday freezing your watsits off in a tent.  Come home, think now I can finally get warm and turn the heating on.  Half hour later and there is an odd hissing sound coming from the living room.  Yep a radiator has sprung a leak.  So a cool evening draining it all down.  Replacement radiator ordered (going to be a pain to fit as sizes have changed), and that wasn't delivered today as promised

Why is nothing straightforward  Existing radiators are imperial sized.  Existing radiator 1110mm long, so get a replacement that is metric sized 1100mm long.  That should fit with a little extension piece on one of the radiator tails?  Nope modern radiator tails, at least as supplied, make these the centres between the valves 10mm wider than the original imperial rad.  So now I've got to bugger around and revise the pipes.  At least I have a few spare bits of copper pipe and solder joints, but now I have to get the floor up ...

It's that or try and restock the purchased rad, which is no longer in it's packaging, and part assembled, and wait a couple of days to get the smaller rad, meanwhile I have no heating, or hot water as I can't refill the system.  :banghead:

This is already a bigger job than I needed as a second radiator was ready to let go with visible corrosion.  :(

Just buy another rad. It's not like they cost a fortune. Sell the too big one on ebay.

I'm sure you can buy a kit comprising of two elbows that can be adjusted to take up the difference, I'll look later on the pc

EDIT, what are the sizes new and old and have you any movement available on the pipes ?
